The burger is the world´s number 1 comfort food – and it is not just a patty and a bun! I am going to give you a recipe to make the best burger using the Lotus Grill to cook it to perfection – with temperature control being a major factor in the cremation (creation) of the perfect burger; the Lotus Grill has a unique device to give the temperature that boost without having to adjust your charcoal.
It has a little switch with a built in fan and you can adjust the fan to increase or decrease the burning of the coals to the temperature that you want. The Lotus Grill is the way to go – convenient, easy, portable and no cremated food. A Burger and Lotus Grill – say YES
Recipe : Serves 4
1 Lotus Grill, regular, XL or XXL
1 Classic GPF grill pan with lid
4 hamburger buns (toasted or untoasted)
Optional : Lettuce, cheese, onion, tomato, pickles, bacon, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise
Lotus Grill Patty Recipe :
1kg minced beef. I can recommend meat from Aussiemeat www.aussiemeat.com
Kalahari Salt to taste
Malabar Pepper to taste
Heaped teaspoon of Medium mustard
2 Egg Yolks
Spices to flavour (optional)
Mix all ingredients together and divide into 4 equal portions. Flatten them so when they are cooking on your Lotus Grill they don´t shrink into round meatballs. Your Lotus grill must be switch on and the coals should be glowing. Grill the patties for around 3 minutes on each side, this will make them slightly red in the middle. You might be wondering why I have included the classic GPF grill pan with the Lotus Grill – if you use the grill pan it prevents your Lotus Grill grid from getting too dirty and it prevents the patties from sticking to the grid.
