Friends and the CONE!


Finally temperatures are reducing and grill/barbecue season is starting in Hong Kong! The energy of the sun is reducing and we are looking forward to barbecue season with our friends Anne and Carlos. We celebrate the reunion with a good glass of white wine. The Pinot should go well with the fish, which my wife Mona is about to put on our CONE to celebrate the arrival of spring.

The smell of Mediterranean spices builds up the excitement of our Autumn lunch and brings back memories of holidays spent together by the sea. We promptly start making plans. Wouldn´t it be lovely to go on holiday again! The fish are slowly turning colour, and the fine smoky aroma doesn't escape our dog Luna either: she looks at my wife with his eyes as she eyes the delicacies on the Cone Barbecue.


The charcoal grill with the convenience of a gas grill

CONE takes charcoal grills to the next level! Thanks to a simple mechanism, the charcoal grate is directly height adjustable. The higher you move the charcoal grate towards the food, the more heat it gets! If you want to reduce the heat, simply lower the charcoal grate. As the distance increases, the air supply is reduced and the heat decreases. In the lowest position, the air vents are closed, you have the maximum distance between the heat source and food, and the heat is at its lowest. You can operate this intuitively, controlling the heat as and when you need to with one hand. Continuously adjustable between minimum and maximum - just as effective and convenient as a gas grill - but with a 100% BBQ taste! And after the BBQ?


Spontaneously, I give Carlos a demonstration of our SPIN 120 - my former university classmate is thrilled by the fire whirl in the glass, which he himself has been eyeing for a while. In action, the flame is even more impressive than in the photos.
