Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2" ginger, julienned
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 lb asparagus, tough ends removed, slice on a bias into 1/2" thick pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 to 2 lemon wedges
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the ginger and garlic. Stir and cook to release fragrance, 30 seconds.
- Add the asparagus. Cook and stir until starting to turn tender, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with salt and add ground black pepper, stir to mix well. Turn to medium-low heat and taste the asparagus. Adjust seasoning if needed. Turn off the heat. Squeeze in the lemon juice and stir again to mix well. Transfer everything to a plate. Serve hot as a side dish.
